Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I play a session?

Login into My Account using your AHA username and password. Then select a conference from my account. That will display the sessions associated with that conference. Each session will have multiple presentations. Press play on a presentation.

2. What if I don’t know my AHA Username and Password?

Your AHA username is the email that you used to purchase the product or registered for the meeting, if you were a meeting attendee. If you do not remember your password, you can use the Forgot Password by going to professional.heart.organd select Login. If you do not know your AHA username, please click here to contact AHA or call 1-800-AHA-USA-1.

3. Are there thumbnail/preview slides?
Yes, to view the thumbnails, you must be watching a presentation in full screen mode. To get to full screen mode, place your mouse over the video window while you are playing a presentation and a control panel will appear. Select the icon with box and arrow in the top right corner. The presentation will go into full screen mode and thumbnails will appear on the bottom of the screen.

4. I can’t hear the presentation. How do I fix that?
You may have up to three places that control the volume. Within the video window (place your mouse over the video window and there is a volume control on the bottom right), on your computer and on your speakers if you have external speakers.

5. How do I download presentations?
The videos cannot be downloaded. Presenters typically prefer to not have their presentations be downloadable. You can however download MP3s of the audio and PDFs of the Slides (6 slides per page). These will be available approximately 6 weeks post meeting. Once they are available, you will see links for MP3 and PDF at the individual presentation level.

6. Do I have to be online to watch presentations?
If you purchased a hard drive that it be automatically sent to you. The hard drive contains the same presentations as the online version, but you do nothave to be online to watch the presentations on the portable drive. If you did not purchase the hard drive, then you must be online to watch presentations.

7. How do I watch presentations on my mobile device?
Scientific Sessions OnDemand™ is automatically formatted to play on most mobile devices. Simply log-in at with your AHA Username and Password on your mobile device. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every mobile device as operating system requirements are constantly changing.

You must be online to stream sessions on your mobile device. Sessions cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Most sessions should work over 3G/4G in addition to WiFi, however the quality will depend on the bandwidth available at any given location and time.

8. How long will I have online access for?
Sessions will be available online for 2 years from the date of the Meeting. If you purchased the hard drive, you can access sessions on your hard drive indefinitely.

9. I can’t find the session I want to watch, but it was listed as part of the product. How do I find it?
We can only publish presentations with speaker permission, which can change at any time. We do our best to keep the content list up-to-date; however printed materials may not reflect the most accurate content listing if a speaker has requested their presentation not be published after the content list was printed.

10. Can I get CME credit for watching the OnDemand videos?
Yes, you can claim CME credits for selected Scientific Sessions OnDemand™. Not all sessions are eligible for CME credit, to filter by sessions with CME credit Check the CME option and click Apply Filters. Those with CME credit will have a CME information and credit amounts next to the session. To claim credit, you must complete the post-test and evaluation. Once you’ve completed the test and evaluation, there will be an option to generate a CME Certificate or Certificate of Participation depending upon your professional designation.
